Iranian officials have put forward a series of conditions for resuming negotiations on a political resolution to the conflict with the United States. This was reported by the Fars News Agency.
According to reports, the demands set by Tehran include several key issues. Among them are conditions such as ending the war in Lebanon, lifting sanctions imposed on Iran, and unfreezing Iranian assets.
Iran also demands compensation for damages caused by the war and recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz. According to the source, these conditions were put forward to create a minimal atmosphere of trust for returning to negotiations.
The report states that in a message delivered via Pakistan, Iran indicated that if a naval blockade remains in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman even after a truce, it would further deepen distrust in relations with Washington.
