President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent condolences to President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan following a serious traffic accident in Turkey's Denizli province.

It was reported that a passenger bus traveling from Izmir to Antalya crashed on May 31 in the Saraykoy district of Denizli province. The loss of life and injuries sustained by many passengers caused deep sorrow throughout the region.

In his message, the head of state expressed deep sympathy to the families and loved ones of those who perished in this tragic event. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured.

In such difficult times, sympathy and solidarity between brotherly nations hold special significance. Relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey are based not only on political and economic cooperation but also on mutual respect, friendship, and brotherhood. According to reports, the bus was traveling from Izmir towards Antalya. The vehicle crashed in the Saraykoy district of Denizli province. Preliminary data indicates there were 38 passengers and 3 crew members on board.

The tragedy resulted in 8 deaths, and over 30 people sustained injuries of varying severity. Medical assistance is being provided to the injured. Relevant authorities are expected to conduct an investigation into the causes of the accident.
