
Volkswagen has launched a more affordable version of its compact crossover Nivus, introducing the new Sense trim, cenyavto.com reported. The model is now available in the Brazilian market at a price equivalent to 1.8 million rubles (around $19,000 USD).
The Nivus Sense closely resembles the European VW T-Cross, though the exterior design has some differences.
The base version includes six airbags, ABS and emergency braking systems, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, LED rear lights, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a rearview camera, and parking sensors. It also comes with 16-inch steel wheels with hubcaps.
Under the hood, the crossover features a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine delivering up to 128 hp on gasoline and 116 hp when running on ethanol.
