
Volkswagen will lay off 20,000 employees in Germany as part of an early exit agreement, according to auto.mail.ru, citing Reuters and Bild.
The news was revealed during a works council meeting at VW’s headquarters in Wolfsburg, where the company is headquartered.
Volkswagen plans to cut up to 35,000 jobs in Germany by 2030 as part of a cost-reduction strategy.
