According to Resolution No. 676, adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan on October 25, 2025, from April 1, 2026, penalty points will also be calculated for traffic violations recorded by automated cameras and radar systems.
The main goal of the new procedure is to ensure road safety, reduce fatal incidents, and strengthen discipline. Now, penalty points will apply not only to the owner of the vehicle, but also to the person who operated it on the basis of a power of attorney, insurance policy, or waybill.
The penalty point system was introduced on June 1, 2025, but initially, points were added only on the basis of protocols drawn up by traffic police officers. Points were not awarded for violations detected by cameras or radar. Now, due to the expansion of technical capabilities, this system is also being fully digitized.
According to the decision, if a driver does not violate any rules within 12 months, penalty points will not be awarded for the next first violation. Also, if a new violation is not committed within six months after the driver is awarded points, the system will automatically deduct 2 points from him.
We remind you that if the driver's total score reaches 12 points within a year, the data will be automatically sent to the court. According to the court decision, such drivers may be deprived of their driver's license for a period of 6 months to 3 years.
