According to the amendments made to the legislation of Uzbekistan, a clear list of traffic violations that can be detected using automated photo and video recording equipment has been established.
Now, the following types of administrative offenses can be recorded using special monitoring devices:
Non-use of seat belts by drivers;
- Use of a telephone or other devices while driving a car;
- Exceeding the permitted speed up to 20 kilometers per hour;
- Non-compliance with the procedure for stopping or temporarily parking the car, etc.
According to the new procedure, specific deadlines for taking administrative measures for these offenses have also been established.
If the violation is recorded by photo or video, a punitive decision must be issued within one month from the date of the violation.
If an objection is filed against this decision, an administrative penalty may be applied within one year.
