According to a survey conducted by the Autostat agency in partnership with the Lixiang (Li Auto) club, Russian car owners have begun shifting en masse to hybrid crossovers. The study results showed that the majority of Li Auto owners previously used premium German and Japanese brands. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports.
According to statistics, 15.2% of Li Auto owners previously drove BMW. Volkswagen took second place with 11.2%, followed by Audi (9.1%), Mercedes-Benz (8.5%), and Lexus (6.4%). This trend shows that high-tech Chinese hybrids are seriously competing with traditional luxury brands.
Interestingly, before choosing a Li Auto model, buyers considered the same BMW brand (23.3%) as an alternative. Brands such as Voyah and Zeekr were also noted in the list. 17.2% of survey participants stated that they saw no alternative to Lixiang models at all.
Car owners cited dynamics, modern design, interior comfort, functionality, and build quality as the main reasons for choosing this brand. The level of brand loyalty is also surprising: 94% of those surveyed expressed their readiness to purchase Li Auto products again in the future.
