Volkswagen ID Polo GTI: New 223 HP Electric Hatchback

Volkswagen has applied its legendary GTI badge to an electric vehicle for the first time. The new Volkswagen ID Polo GTI is presented as a true sports car designed for daily use. This hatchback is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor delivering 223 hp, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. This is reported by Autocar.co.uk reports .
The vehicle's technical capabilities are not limited to speed alone. Volkswagen engineers have paid special attention to driving dynamics. The car is built on a special chassis base equipped with new, stiffer shock absorbers and springs. Additionally, a locking differential and stabilizers borrowed from the Golf GTI, along with a revised rear axle system, significantly increase the car's stability in corners.
A special "GTI" mode is provided for drivers, activated via a button under the steering wheel. This mode switches all vehicle settings to a sporty style and transmits artificial engine noise into the cabin. The system also supports a "launch control" function.
The ID Polo GTI is powered by a 52 kWh battery, providing a range of approximately 423 kilometers on a single charge. With a 105 kW fast-charging system, it takes just 24 minutes to charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent.
