Toyota registers RAV4, bZ and Aygo trademarks in Russia

Toyota, which left the Russian market in 2022, has registered three trademarks at once with Rospatent: RAV4, bZ, and Aygo. The applications submitted by the Japanese company were filed on March 31, 2025, under Class 12 of the Nice Classification, which covers automobiles and other vehicles. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

These exclusive rights are valid for 10 years. The re-registration of the trademarks does not necessarily mean the brand is returning to the Russian market, but rather allows Toyota to maintain rights to its names and protect them from unauthorized use by third parties.

As a reminder, Toyota ceased vehicle production at its St. Petersburg plant in September 2022. The facility had an annual capacity of 100,000 vehicles. Currently, the site belongs to the AGR company, where production of the Esteo MX crossover has been launched.

The new Esteo MX model is equipped with a 2.0-liter, 197 hp engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and an all-wheel-drive system. The vehicle's dashboard also features three modern screens.
