Autohome has published the first images of the new GAC Trumpchi M8 PHEV L minivan. This hybrid model is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system, and pre-orders began in China on May 25th. Although official pricing has not yet been announced, current models in the Trumpchi M8 family are priced between 270,000 and 410,000 yuan. This is reported by Ixbt.com news.
In terms of appearance, the all-wheel-drive hybrid hardly differs from the standard versions: it features a massive chrome grille, "7"-shaped LED headlights, and laser daytime running lights. To ensure vehicle safety, a lidar and the Momenta driver assistance system are installed. The minivan's dimensions are 5264 × 1898 × 1848 mm, with a wheelbase of 3070 mm.
Inside, there is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 17.3-inch multimedia screen. The system runs on the ADIGO 6.0 software platform and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip. The front and middle-row seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, while the top trim also includes heating for the third row. A 20-speaker Yamaha audio system is another highlight of the vehicle.
The GAC Trumpchi M8 PHEV L is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine and two electric motors, providing a total system output of 557 hp. For comparison, the front-wheel-drive version had 448 hp. A 44.5 kWh battery pack manufactured by CATL allows the vehicle to cover a range of 235 km on electric power alone.
