The online cinema Kinopoisk has released a teaser for the continuation of Karen Oganesyan's series "Krutaya Peremena," Kursiv.uz reported. In the second season, school teacher Andrey Larionov (played by Nikita Yefremov) will travel to Uzbekistan.
There, he will help launch a new Russian-Uzbek school, teach Russian language and literature, and assess the qualifications of local teachers.
According to Yefremov, the character will encounter the cultural features of the region.
"This is a story about the opening of a new Russian-Uzbek school in Uzbekistan, where all teachers must know Russian. My character is sent there to check their professional suitability, and he faces not only humorous moments but also the unique features of the East," said Nikita Yefremov.
In the second season, the cast is joined by Ivan Dobronravov, who will play the principal of the new school. Karen Oganesyan will again serve as director and showrunner.
The premiere of the second season is expected in autumn 2025. The first season was released in September 2023 and quickly gained over 20 million views.
