The first season of the new Harry Potter series will consist of 8 episodes. This was revealed by the series’ renowned cinematographer Adriano Goldman. He shared his thoughts in an interview with the Brazilian edition of Forbes, reported Peopletalk.
According to Goldman, he will direct the first and last two episodes. In total, three cinematographers are working on the series.
“I have a special relationship with color. Director Mark Mylod liked my working style, especially my approach to color. I think the series should be more visually vibrant,” said Goldman.
In spring 2023, it was officially announced that the Harry Potter universe would be rebooted. The project will be broadcast on HBO and HBO Max streaming platforms. The entire series will consist of seven seasons — each based on one of J.K. Rowling’s books.
New actors have been cast for the main roles. Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will portray Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley.
Famous figures are involved in the production. Among them are the creator of the Harry Potter universe, J.K. Rowling, as well as Francesca Gardiner, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts (Brontë Film and TV), and David Heyman (Heyday Films).
The first season is scheduled to premiere in 2027. The series will be available on HBO and HBO Max.
