On September 5th, the 66th anniversary of the birth of Muhriddin Xoliqov, the performer of popular songs like "Qishloqdagi qiz," "Bu dunyo," and "Uzatamiz," is being celebrated in Uzbek pop music. In honor of this date, an interesting test was prepared for fans based on the repertoire of the artist who left an indelible mark on Uzbek pop music.
Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Mukhriddin Khalikov was born on September 5, 1959, in a family of artists in the city of Namangan. The singer, who had been interested in singing since childhood and loved playing the accordion and rubab, was advised by his father with these words: "If you have decided to pursue art, your duty is to serve the people."
Mukhriddin Kholiqov made his debut on the big stage with the song "Parizod." He tried to make each of his songs different and unique. He spent part of the day writing songs for hours, the rest of the time playing football to get rid of fatigue, and then continued the creative process.
Mukhriddin Khalikov, a student of Sherali Juraev, as well as a mentor to Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Abdulla Kurbanov, and Anvar Sanaev, sang the most popular hit songs "Laylim," "Go'zalim," "Besh kunlik dunyo," "Boqma," "Nozanin," and "Qizg'aldoğim." During his career, he presented about twenty different concert programs - the last one was in 2000. Unfortunately, the artist passed away on November 21, 2001.
