Uzbek art has suffered a great loss. On September 7, the famous opera singer and one of the leading soloists of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theater, Yanika Bagryanskaya, passed away in a clinic in Turkey after a long and serious illness. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
The official statement emphasized that the Consulate General expressed deep condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased. It was also noted that, in cooperation with the Agency for External Labor Migration, the necessary consular and legal assistance was provided to her family members.
Yanika Bagryanskaya was one of those artists who left an indelible mark in the history of Uzbek art. In 1996, she successfully graduated from the Tashkent State Conservatory and for more than twenty years performed on the stage of the Navoi Theater, winning the hearts of thousands of fans with her mezzo-soprano voice.
Her stage career was highly appreciated not only nationally, but also internationally. Bagryanskaya became a laureate of the second prize at the international “Romansiada” competition, actively participated in prestigious festivals, and was recognized for her high professional skill and sincere performance.
Those who knew her closely highlighted her deep love for the stage, her sincerity towards people, and her dedication to work. With her mezzo-soprano, Yanika Bagryanskaya was rightfully considered one of the faces of Uzbek opera art.
