A proposal was made in Russia to deprive Alla Pugacheva of her pension

The issue of suspending the state pension of the famous singer Alla Pugacheva in Russia is being widely discussed.

According to the Upl.uz website, this initiative was proposed by the leader of the “People's Call” (“Zov Naroda”) movement, Sergey Zaitsev.

According to him, since Pugacheva left Russia and acts against the interests of the country, she is not entitled to receive financial support from the state.

I firmly believe that people who do not recognize Russia and oppose it should not receive any financial benefit from the state. Why should the country they criticize provide for them?

Zaitsev said.

It turns out that 76-year-old Pugacheva, despite living abroad, continues to receive a pension from Russia. Payments are regularly transferred to her bank card, and some financial matters in Russia are handled through trusted representatives.

According to Russian law, neither changing one’s place of residence, being recognized as a “foreign agent”, nor committing a crime can be grounds for depriving a citizen of a pension.
