Honored Artist of Uzbekistan and head of the Mukimi State Academic Musical Theater of Uzbekistan, Azim Mullakhanov, has suffered a heavy loss. The singer's son, Islombek Mullakhanov, has passed away. This was announced by the team of the Mukimi State Academic Musical Theater of Uzbekistan.
In an earlier interview, Azim Mullakhanov mentioned that his children—Azizakhon, Feruzbek, and Islombek—were art enthusiasts, but none of them chose a creative career path. They all worked in other fields.
"I have children named Azizakhon, Feruzbek, and Islombek. They showed interest in the arts, but I told them to 'choose another profession' because I didn't want them to struggle. It was a very difficult time for artists when they were choosing their careers. Many people think that artists have high incomes. That is why if you go to the market, they charge you double the price. Not every artist earns large sums from big weddings. Even among those seen on television, many work for a simple theater salary. For this reason, I did not want my children to enter the field of art," the singer had said.
