OpenAI pays 1.09 billion UZS, joins the TOP-5 foreign tech taxpayers

As of April 8, 2025, OpenAI has been officially registered as a taxpayer in Uzbekistan, reports AiPulatov Telegram channel. In the first quarter of the year, the company paid 1.09 billion UZS (approximately $84,000) in taxes to the state budget.

The average monthly revenue from Uzbek subscribers is around $236,000. In April 2025, the ChatGPT app ranked #1 for downloads on both Android and iOS platforms in Uzbekistan.

In 2024, ChatGPT's website received more than 42.73 million visits from Uzbekistan. The number of paying users per month is approximately 11,800, while the estimated total user base ranges from 230,000 to over 400,000.
