As is known, a number of measures are being implemented in our country to provide social support to the needy population and improve their living standards. As a result, from May 1, 2025, the practice of continuously paying compensation for natural gas and electricity to low-income families throughout the year has been introduced. Now, as before, this assistance will not be limited to the winter season, but will be paid regularly every month.
Starting from June 1 of this year, applications from needy families wishing to use compensation have begun. This process is organized on the basis of a simplified system in order to create greater convenience for the population.
It is also worth mentioning separately who will receive compensation. This assistance will be provided to families belonging to the following categories:
First of all, families included in the Unified Register of Social Protection and the Register of Poor Families, whose monthly income per person in the family is less than 669 thousand soums, will have the right to use this opportunity.
Also, families that are not included in the above registers, but in real life have a low level of property and income, will be provided with state assistance. In such cases, it is required that the income of each family member does not exceed 1 million soums.
It is worth noting that during the heating season of 2024-2025, a total of 313.6 billion soums was allocated to low-income families throughout the republic. Now, this social protection system has been expanded, and by the end of 2025, the total amount of compensation allocated to needy families in our country will amount to 1 trillion 330 billion soums.
This is almost four times more money than in previous years. That is, the scope of assistance provided by the government will expand and will make a significant contribution to improving the living standards of the population.
According to experts, the systematic implementation of the compensation system will ensure that the population makes timely payments for energy resources. This will not only improve the living standards of the population, but also ensure financial stability in the energy sector.
It is worth noting that, in order to create convenience for citizens, the process of applying for compensation can also be carried out online. For this, special electronic platforms will be used, and families will have the opportunity to submit applications without leaving their homes.
Some analysts emphasize that these measures will mark the beginning of a new stage in the social protection system in our country and are an advanced experience in comprehensive support for the needy segment of the population.
In conclusion, in 2025, the amount of compensation allocated to low-income families in Uzbekistan will be significantly increased, and this is another important step in the field of social protection in our country. These measures will not only serve to improve the living standards of the population, but will also further strengthen the trust and satisfaction of our compatriots in the state.
