According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, in the first half of 2025, a total of 3.8 million tons of vegetables were produced by all categories of farms in our country. This figure not only demonstrates the efficiency of the agricultural sector but also shows how competition and opportunities are shaping up across regions.
Regional leaders
In terms of production volume, Surkhandarya region stood out with 719.7 thousand tons of vegetables, making it the absolute leader. It was followed by Andijan region with 670.7 thousand tons, while Fergana region ranked third with 511.8 thousand tons.
It was also reported that 375 thousand tons were grown in Tashkent region and 340.8 thousand tons in Samarkand region. These regions are also considered among the main suppliers at the national level.
Namangan (297.7 thousand tons) and Bukhara (291.4 thousand tons) regions also showed strong results. In Kashkadarya, 205 thousand tons were harvested, in Khorezm 126.8 thousand tons, in Syrdarya 85.5 thousand tons, in Navoi 76.4 thousand tons, and in Jizzakh 63.9 thousand tons. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the figure reached 59.9 thousand tons.

Thus, the half-year results show that vegetable production in our country is steadily developing. In particular, Surkhandarya and Andijan regions remain ahead of the rest in terms of production volume. Experts believe that in order to further increase yields, wider use of modern agricultural technologies and resource-saving methods is required.
