A case of mass food poisoning was recorded in the Hojilar-Meydani neighborhood of Amasya province following what seemed to be a simple family celebration. According to reports from Turkish media, the incident may be linked to meals prepared during the gathering.
After eating, participants began to feel unwell. Symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting were observed. As a result, 39 individuals sought medical assistance at the hospital.
Some of the affected were taken to Amasya Hospital by emergency medical teams, while others arrived there on their own.
Medical experts assessed the condition of all hospitalized individuals as "satisfactory." They are currently under observation, and specialists are working to determine the source of the poisoning.
It is worth noting that in the summer months, food prepared without following proper storage guidelines poses a higher risk of causing poisoning. Authorities emphasize the need for strict supervision of meals prepared at public events.
