Users are massively sharing videos where they eat whole packs of butter. These people are sharing their experiences of eating based on the “carnivore diet”, reports Pravilamag.
The carnivore diet is a way of eating where only animal-based products are allowed. The main focus is on foods high in protein: steaks, eggs, cheese. Not only vegetables and fruits, but even coffee and tea are prohibited.
Butter often serves as a snack for “carnivores”. Supporters of the “carnivore diet” claim that butter replaces sweets for them and serves as a source of energy.
Pieces of butter are also consumed as a complement to a full meal: in videos, some people following the “carnivore diet” are seen eating butter together with meat or eggs.
At the same time, doctors warn that excessive consumption of butter may lead to health problems. It creates extra strain on the liver, pancreas, and blood vessels. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), saturated fats should make up no more than 10% of daily calories — that is approximately 10–20 grams of butter per day.
