Clandestine laboratory shut down in Tashkent

In Tashkent, law enforcement agencies have uncovered a clandestine laboratory involved in the production of potent medicinal substances. According to reports, a criminal group used a rented house for illegal purposes, where they were engaged in packaging potent substances.
During an operational raid, it was discovered that a large quantity of medicinal products was being stored at the location. Law enforcement authorities seized over 3 kilograms of potent substances as material evidence.
According to expert estimates, the total market value of the confiscated batch is approximately 2 billion soums. This figure indicates the significant scale of the case. The fact that such dangerous activities were hidden behind an ordinary rental house serves as a serious signal for public safety.
It is reported that the criminals may have used the building to prepare, sort, or package potent medicinal substances. The illegal trafficking of such substances poses a major threat to human health and societal safety.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, concerning the illegal trafficking of potent or toxic substances. Investigation efforts are currently underway.
During the investigation, it is expected that the individuals who established the laboratory, the sources of the substances, their distribution routes, and other participants involved in the criminal chain will be identified.
Such cases demonstrate once again how important control over the circulation of potent medicinal substances is. If these types of substances are distributed outside of medical supervision and legal procedures, they can pose a serious risk to human life.
In short, a clandestine laboratory in Tashkent has been shut down, and a dangerous batch worth 2 billion soums has been confiscated. Now, the investigation must reveal who is behind this chain. There is no place for such “laboratories” — playing with health has severe consequences.
