Uzbekistan's Air Samarkand airline has launched direct flights between Samarkand and Tel Aviv, Israel, for the first time.
Thus, Air Samarkand became the fourth Uzbek airline to operate flights to Israel. Previously, Uzbekistan Airways, Qanot Sharq, and Centrum Air operated flights on this route.
A solemn welcoming ceremony was held at the famous Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for passengers arriving on the first flight of this route. Nissan Mushayev, the official representative of Air Samarkand in Israel and the founder of the Asia Travel travel company, also attended the event and made a heartfelt speech.
Air Samarkand will initially operate regular flights on this route once a week - every Sunday. Starting from July 10, 2024, it is planned to launch additional flights every Thursday, based on passenger demand.
This new flight between Samarkand and Tel Aviv is expected to play a significant role in further developing economic, cultural and touristic ties between the two countries.
