
Employees of the district power grid enterprise who demanded money in exchange for obtaining a permit for and installing electric vehicle charging equipment were detained in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the capital's Department of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that employees of the Rapid Search Service of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs conducted an operational operation in Chilonzor district. During the operation, employees of the district power grid were detained for taking $10,000 from a citizen.
"I am married, I have no previous convictions. A young man came to me and asked me to help install a transformer station. I explained the instructions to him... He brought $10,000. At that time, I was detained," says the chief engineer of the district power supply department.
Another suspect, an electrician, who was detained, said that they asked for $15,000 to install a transformer station. This included "services" such as bringing a transformer for $6,000, as well as carrying out design work for $9,000.
