Those who attempted to loot gold worth 2 billion soums were detained in Navoi

The State Security Service announced that the illegal activities of the plant employees who were in the gold rush were stopped.

According to the report, 2 shift foremen and 1 department clerk working at Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 3 under the Northern Mining Department of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine JSC conspired in advance with the intention of making easy money.

With the aim of future looting, they hid a 2 kg semi-finished product containing a large amount of gold in an air purification pipe inside the plant.

An operational operation conducted by employees of the Navoi Regional Department of the State Security Service in cooperation with the internal affairs bodies put an end to the illegal activities of these individuals who were in the gold rush.

According to the relevant conclusion, it was determined that the semi-finished product contained a total of 1 kg 523 grams of pure gold, the value of which is 2 billion 102 million soums.

A criminal case has been initiated against these individuals under Article 25,169, Part 4, Subparagraph “a” of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
