On May 24, in connection with the end of the 2024-2025 academic year, all schools in Uzbekistan will solemnly celebrate the “Last Bell” events. This day symbolizes the completion of a special stage of life for school graduates and a step towards new prospects. As every year, this holiday is planned to be widely celebrated throughout the country.
According to the Department of Public Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 2 million students, their parents and teachers will participate in these events, which will be held in more than 10 thousand schools across the country. All educational institutions in the regions have been fully inspected by special services and connected to security panels.
In order to ensure security, more than 27 thousand employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and military personnel have been involved in the “Last Bell” events. In addition, to ensure road safety, traffic police officers will be on duty around schools in an enhanced mode.
A number of measures are being taken to ensure peace and order during the events. Traffic will be temporarily restricted in front of the school. Citizens, especially young people, are advised to use public transport.
Also, after the schools are closed, young people are expected to gather in large numbers in squares, recreation parks and public places. Therefore, regional internal affairs bodies have deployed more than 5,000 officers to maintain order in these places.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education also issued a special appeal to the public. In it, parents were asked to pay attention to their children's mood, actions, who they spend time with, their activities on the Internet and their financial needs. Such attention will prevent unnecessary expenses, a "competitive" mood and even unpleasant situations.
It should be noted separately that the reports that the waltz dance was banned in schools in connection with the "Last Bell" holiday have not been confirmed. The Ministry of Education has stated that there are no official restrictions on this, but it has been reported that some schools are abandoning the dances due to concerns about the excessive costs.
The Zamin.uz editorial team believes that every citizen should contribute to ensuring peace, order and security on this major holiday. This day should be imprinted in the memory of every student in a beautiful and positive way. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
