During the operational measures carried out by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office, many counterfeit products were exposed.

In particular, during the inspection of a store owned by the head of the private enterprise "J.S." During the inspection, these products were confiscated as material evidence.

A similar situation was observed in the Gallaorol district of the Jizzakh region. As a result of the operational measures of the department, it was revealed that in a store owned by the limited liability company "O.A.", trader N.A. put up for sale 630 alcoholic beverages with counterfeit excise stamps. These products, in turn, were seized by investigators as material evidence.

A total of 607 pieces of counterfeit excise-stamped alcoholic products were also detected and confiscated at their point of sale.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on these criminal cases. Investigations are ongoing against the guilty parties.

According to experts, counterfeit alcoholic products can not only cause economic damage, but also pose a serious threat to the health of the population. Therefore, measures to combat such crimes and warn the population are being intensified.

The department and law enforcement agencies constantly carry out raids and control measures in order to prevent such violations and eliminate such clandestine trade networks.

In this regard, the population and business entities are advised not to purchase alcoholic beverages without excise stamps and other necessary documents. It was reminded that if any suspicious products are detected, it is necessary to immediately contact law enforcement agencies.

Entrepreneurs were once again reminded that the responsibility for such violations is serious, and criminal measures will be taken against them. Official information says that measures in this regard will continue.
