Another traffic incident has been recorded in Tashkent region. According to official information from the Regional Department of Road Safety, on the morning of September 2, an 18-year-old young man, driving his brother’s Malibu car without a driver’s license, hit a student.
The incident occurred around 09:30 on an internal road in the “Sergeli” mahalla of Quyi Chirchiq district. According to the data, the young man, born in 2007 and not attending school, started the vehicle and hit an 11th-grade student, born in 2008, who was walking on the road.
Reliable sources note that fortunately, the pedestrian did not sustain any injuries. However, the incident caused concern among the local population and once again demonstrated how dangerous the consequences of minors illegally driving vehicles can be.
Currently, the Malibu car has been placed in an impound lot. An investigation is being carried out by the Quyi Chirchiq district police and the Road Safety Department. Authorities stated that the responsibility of the guilty person will be determined after the investigation.
Experts are urging parents not to allow teenagers to drive vehicles illegally, stressing that even a moment of carelessness can often lead to tragic consequences.
