In August, cases of illegal use of energy resources in Uzbekistan caused serious problems. According to Uzenergoinspektsiya, 179 cases of violations were identified during inspections conducted in just one month. It is noted that these circumstances caused significant damage to the country's economy.
During the inspections, it was revealed that 36.8 million kWh of electricity and 8.7 million cubic meters of natural gas were used illegally. As a result of this situation, a total of 86 billion 571 million soums of damage was caused to the state. It is also expected that the funds recalculated by the inspection will be fully recovered in accordance with the legislation.
Illegal use of energy resources is assessed not only as an economic, but also as a socially dangerous act. Because the plundering of electricity and gas, necessary for the economic development of the country, negatively affects the legal access of the population.
As a result of inspections conducted by Uzenergoinspektsiya and law enforcement agencies, 476 administrative cases were registered. Measures were taken against the violating consumers in the prescribed manner, and the relevant documents were submitted to the judicial authorities.
