Another bloody incident related to domestic violence was recorded in the Fergana region. In the Bagdad district, a 60-year-old man brutally beat his wife and put her in a serious condition. This was reported by local sources.
According to the information, the incident occurred around 19:00 in the Dasht mahalla. Neighbors say that quarrels often occurred in this family. On that day, another serious argument broke out between the spouses, during which the man first insulted his wife and then began to beat her mercilessly.
After the beating, the woman could not get up. Seeing her helpless condition, the daughters quickly came to her aid and tried to save their mother. Due to the injuries sustained, the victim was taken to the hospital, where she received urgent medical assistance.
According to official data, a criminal case was initiated against the man. The court found him guilty under part 6 of Article 126-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Domestic violence). As a result, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
Experts emphasize that domestic violence causes great harm not only to the individual but also to society as a whole. Such incidents also negatively affect children’s psychology and can leave a serious mark on their future lives.
According to the public, timely resolution of family conflicts, development of psychological counseling, and strengthening of legal support can help prevent such tragedies.
