President Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the prestigious international forum "From Poverty to Prosperity," taking place in Namangan. It is attended by more than 30 reputable organizations and about 200 international experts.
As the head of state noted in his speech, the issue of women becoming active and influential members of society in the development of the country has been raised to the level of state policy. A number of practical measures have been implemented in this direction.
In particular, girls were given the opportunity to receive interest-free loans for higher education. A system of free education has been established at the master's level. Today, 53 percent of students are women. This year alone, more than 1.7 million women were employed.
As the Head of State noted, within the framework of the "Daughters of the Digital Generation" program, it is planned to train 50 thousand girls in the basics of information technology, finance, and artificial intelligence. This, at the same time, will ensure their acquisition of new professions and knowledge, and will serve them to find a worthy place in society in the future.
"Providing comprehensive assistance to women in realizing their potential in all spheres of society is our constant focus. Starting next year, the coverage of the social insurance system will be significantly increased in order to create equal conditions for women in the labor market. This will be a guarantee that women will not fall into poverty," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Head of State also invited all participants to the Asian Forum of Business Women, which will be held next year in Namangan. It was noted that this forum will serve as an important platform for the exchange of experience and the opening of new opportunities for women.
