The deputy khokim of Khavast district was detained through an accomplice

In the Syrdarya region, the deputy khokim was detained, and in the Navoi region, the deputy khokim was detained. This was reported by the State Security Service.

It was reported that the deputy khokim of the Khavast district of the Syrdarya region and a specialist of the district department of the regional department of investment, industry and trade conspired to accumulate illegal wealth. They received $10,000 from the farm manager in June of this year in exchange for the inclusion of a livestock farm with 452 hectares of land under their jurisdiction in the next year's rice production distribution, confirmation of the fulfillment of the export plan, failure to take measures against rice cultivation without distribution, as well as allegedly protecting it during an inspection conducted by the State Security Service on the activities of farms in the district.

Later, the deputy khokim demanded an additional $20,000 by threatening to seize the land in the state reserve and initiate criminal proceedings against the head of the farm. He was detained while receiving $10,000 of the requested sum through a specialist who was his accomplice.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the deputy khokim and a specialist of the district department of the regional department of investments, industry and trade under Article 165, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of imprisonment has been applied.

In the case observed in the Navoi region, an assistant khokim responsible for the development of entrepreneurship, ensuring employment and poverty reduction was detained in one of the mahalla citizens' assemblies of the Karmana district while illegally receiving 40 million soums.

It was established that the assistant khokim, having gained the trust of another person, demanded 100 million soums in exchange for registering 12 square meters of land along the M-37 highway, which was leased to another citizen in 2024, in his name. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the hokim's assistant, and an investigation is underway.
