In the Chinaz district of the Tashkent region, a court verdict was issued against two individuals who attempted to disturb public peace and law and order, the information service of the courts reported. This incident occurred in March of this year and caused widespread discussion among the local population.
According to reports, 33-year-old A.O. and 40-year-old B.Sh. colluded in advance and planned to cause unrest by temporarily blocking the M-39 "Tashkent-Termez" international highway. They aimed to express their dissatisfaction by blocking the road, thereby potentially violating public safety.
According to the investigation, the day before the incident, A.O. called on people through a group on the Telegram social network not to go to the gas station, but to protest by blocking the road. The next day, he and his partner B.Sh. did indeed address the drivers gathered in front of the station, urging them to stop. At that moment, the truck driver was forced to block the road, and as a result, traffic was temporarily suspended, causing a traffic jam.
The defendants' actions did not stop there. A.O. recorded the incident on his mobile phone and distributed it via Telegram. His actions were not only considered a violation of the law, but also qualified as the dissemination of materials that threaten public safety.
During the trial, the defendants partially admitted their actions and expressed remorse for their actions. However, the court emphasized that their guilt was fully proven based on the investigation documents and witness testimonies.
According to the verdict of the Akkurgan District Criminal Court, the main culprit A.O. was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment. His accomplice B.Sh. was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison. Both persons serve their sentences in a general regime colony.
The court verdict also sparked discussions on social media. Many viewed this event as a reminder that citizens need to be cautious and deeply understand the consequences of public speeches and calls via the internet. At the same time, lawyers note this incident as a serious threat to public safety.
Law enforcement agencies reminded that any protest or public outcry can only be conducted within the framework of the law. Blocking the road, stopping traffic, or inciting others to such actions is a crime, and strict measures are applied to it.
This event once again reminded us of the importance of maintaining peace and order in society. This court decision is expected to serve as an important lesson in preventing similar situations in the future.
