In the first nine months of 2025, Tashkent welcomed 3.9 million foreign visitors from around the world. This figure once again confirmed the capital’s status as a leading tourism hub in the region. At the same time, 5.6 million domestic tourists visited the city’s main attractions.
According to official data, most visitors came from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey. The number of tourists from these countries has significantly increased compared to the first quarter of the year. Experts attribute this growth to the visa-free regime, convenient air connections, and the active development of new tourist facilities in the capital.
Each tourist spends an average of $300 per day, mostly on shopping, leisure, and tourism services. Shopping and culinary tourism have seen particularly high demand in recent months.
Tashkent’s hotel sector is also expanding rapidly. The city currently has 1,132 accommodation facilities with more than 54,500 available beds — a 20% increase compared to two years ago. Alongside large hotels, the number of boutique hotels and family hostels is also growing.
The most visited districts are Mirobod, Shaykhontohur, and Chilonzor, where modern infrastructure and convenient transport provide major advantages for visitors.
Among the most popular attractions are the Khast-Imom complex, Chorsu Bazaar, Tashkent City, Magic City, and Seoul Mun — all of which have become favorite destinations not only for tourists but also for locals.
Tourism authorities report that the average stay of visitors in Tashkent is between 2.5 and 4 days. This figure has slightly increased compared to 2024, reflecting an improvement in the city’s service quality.
Experts believe that if the current trend continues, the number of tourists visiting Tashkent could exceed 6 million by 2026. To achieve this, new routes, tourism festivals, and international events are planned.
Tashkent is rapidly becoming one of Central Asia’s most dynamic tourism centers — its modern infrastructure, rich culture, and hospitality leave a lasting impression on every visitor.
