The crime that occurred in the Yangikurgan district of the Namangan region shocked the entire public. According to reports, the 7-year-old girl was raped by her relative. This was reported by a Kun.uz source.
It turned out that B.S., born in 1987, was at the wedding ceremony in the house where his uncle lived on October 14. During the wedding, he deceived his uncle's granddaughter, a minor girl born in 2018, and took her out of the house, where he sexually assaulted her.
After the crime, the man fled the scene and hid for two days. However, law enforcement agencies conducted a search, and on October 16, he was detained. The Yangiqo'rg'on District Court ordered his arrest.
It turned out that the accused had previously been convicted of similar serious crimes. In 2020, the Namangan District Court sentenced her to 10 years and 2 months in prison on charges of sexual assault. Later, in 2025, the court replaced his sentence with a lighter one - correctional labor.
But this did not stop him. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he was also punished for crimes of violence and hooliganism in 2014.
At the same time, according to the law that came into force in August 2024, the possibility of mitigating punishment for persons who have committed sexual violence against a minor is no longer applied.
The investigation is ongoing. This situation caused great public outrage, and law enforcement agencies promised to take strict measures against such crimes.
