A serious road traffic accident occurred on the road in the city of Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan. Videos circulating on social media show a large truck pushing a Cobalt car several meters away. This was reported by the Road Safety Department of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
It was reported that the incident occurred on October 16 of this year at approximately 2:20 p.m. between kilometers 3-4 of the highway passing through Nukus city. A Mercedes-Benz truck, driven by a citizen of the Republic of Turkey D.M., born in 1960, collided with a Cobalt car driven by R.E., born in 1993, while driving.
During the collision, due to the strong inertia of the truck's movement, the Cobalt slid several meters along the road. Although the incident seemed very dangerous, fortunately, no one was injured.
According to the Road Safety Department, a pre-trial investigation is currently underway by the Road Safety Department of the Public Security Service of the Nukus City Department of Internal Affairs. During the inspection, the speed of movement of both drivers, road conditions, and possible violations are being studied.
Experts emphasized that the incident occurred mainly on a section of the road where large trucks were moving. Therefore, it was noted that in such situations, passenger car drivers should move carefully and maintain a sufficient distance from large vehicles.
Videos circulating among citizens show the incident occurring within seconds - the truck suddenly lost its brakes and slid the Cobalt from the rear. People call this "a tragedy that ended badly."
The Road Safety Department reminds: any collision involving large trucks poses a great danger. Therefore, drivers must always maintain a safe distance and act cautiously on the road.
