Mukhriddin Ilashov, a student of the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute, who saved an abandoned child in the Yangikhayot district of Tashkent, was awarded by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.

According to the report, Qo'ng'irotboy Sharipov presented Muhriddin Ilashov with a letter of gratitude and a commemorative gift.

"The Minister emphasized that this work of the young hero will be an example not only for the institute where he studies, but also for all young people, and noted the importance of further strengthening the feelings of humanism, patriotism, and courage among young people," the report says.

Previously, videos circulated on social media showing a child at risk of falling from a fourth-floor balcony in the Yangihayot district.

According to the Tashkent City Police Department, the boy was rescued by a student living on the 5th floor.
