Another road accident was recorded in Surkhandarya region. A serious car accident in the Qumqo'rg'on district claimed the life of one person, and another passenger was hospitalized in critical condition. This was reported by the Road Safety Department of the regional Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the information, the incident occurred on October 19 at 09:40 on the road passing through the "Azlarsoy" neighborhood. The driver, born in 1997, was driving a Cobalt and, while driving, crossed into the oncoming lane, possibly due to speeding or loss of control.
At that moment, a strong collision occurred with a Nexia 2 car coming from the opposite direction. As a result of the collision, both cars were severely damaged.
As a result, the man, born in 1963, who was a passenger in the Nexia 2, died at the scene. The woman, born in 1959, who was with him, was taken to the emergency department with various bodily injuries. He is currently under medical supervision.
Investigators noted that, according to preliminary information, one of the drivers may have violated traffic safety rules. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated by the investigative team of the Kumkurgan District Department of Internal Affairs, and an investigation is underway.
As a reminder, the number of road accidents in the region has increased dramatically in recent days. Officials urge drivers not to sit behind the wheel when tired and to strictly follow traffic rules.
