A violation of the law was recorded in the Navoi region - more than half a ton of low-quality meat was stopped on the way to Tashkent. This was reported by the Public Security Department.
It was reported that a Nexia car was inspected during an inspection conducted in the evening in the Karmana district. In this machine, 700 kilograms of beef were found stored without proper veterinary documentation and in conditions completely contrary to sanitary requirements. During the inspection, it was revealed that these products were being taken for sale in the capital's markets.
Experts emphasize that such situations not only pose a serious threat to consumers' health but also worsen the sanitary-epidemiological situation. The identified meat products were quickly destroyed in the prescribed manner. An administrative report was drawn up against the driver, and measures were taken in accordance with the law.
According to the Public Security Department, such cases have increased significantly since the beginning of the year. During 2025, as a result of control measures, more than 22 tons of meat and meat products unfit for consumption were discovered. In each case, the products were destroyed in the appropriate manner, and legal measures were taken against the responsible persons.
Experts note that the transportation of meat products without compliance with sanitary requirements is not only a crime, but also a source of great social danger. In such cases, serious harm to human health can be caused by various bacteria and infections. Therefore, the relevant regulatory bodies intend to further strengthen inspections in this area.
Similarly, another vehicle traveling from Kashkadarya region to Tashkent was recently stopped. Nearly 600 kilograms of defective meat products were identified, and their access to the capital's markets was prevented.
Previously, it was reported that meat prices in the country had risen to record levels in September. Experts believe that an increase in low-quality products can also affect the overall balance of supply and demand in the market. Therefore, strengthening control over the safety of the population is defined as an important task.
Now the responsible agencies plan to strictly control not only the quality of products, but also the processes of their transportation and storage. This ensures that only health-safe and tested products enter the market.
