In the Surkhandarya region, the court took strict measures against a citizen who repeatedly violated the law. This was announced via the "Zamon" news program.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the Uzun district. A 52-year-old citizen was driving a Cobalt car when he was stopped by traffic police officers. During the inspection, it was established that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol.
However, this did not end the case - the license plate installed in the offender's car turned out to belong to the "Zhiguli" car. At the same time, it became known that he was driving without a driver's license. That is, he committed three offenses simultaneously - drunk driving, driving without documents, and using a foreign license plate.
The case was sent to court, and the citizen was sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest.
The relevant authorities emphasize that such cases pose a serious threat not only to the safety of the driver, but also to the safety of other citizens. Therefore, the internal affairs bodies are intensifying the fight against drunk driving.
It should be recalled that earlier in the Jomboy district of the Samarkand region, a court verdict was announced against four drivers who drove a car while intoxicated. One of them was also detained for 15 days, and the rest were fined.
Specialists warn drivers once again: driving a vehicle while intoxicated can lead to not only administrative, but also criminal liability in serious cases.
