A tragic incident occurred at School No. 36 in Andijan city. School staff were poisoned by technical alcohol.
According to preliminary information, two people have died and three others are in serious condition in the hospital. The incident happened on October 22 at approximately 17:00.
After the workday ended, the head of the school maintenance department, the initial military training teacher, the guard, and another teacher gathered together. During dinner, they consumed a liquid stored in the school laboratory, which turned out to be technical alcohol.
According to reports, the head of the maintenance department died at the scene, while the guard passed away while being taken to the hospital. The remaining individuals were hospitalized with symptoms of severe poisoning, and the condition of some is considered serious.
It was reported that the school principal was not in the building at the time of the incident and did not participate in this gathering. No additional information about the details of the incident or the condition of the victims has been provided yet.
According to the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, Hayot Shamsiddinov, initial investigations are being carried out by internal affairs authorities regarding this incident. The causes and circumstances are being clarified.
