English teachers dissatisfied with test results

The press service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education has issued an official statement. According to the Ministry, there have been reports on social media claiming that English language teachers have expressed dissatisfaction to the Ministry regarding the professional development tests.

The teachers raised the following main issues: 1. The test questions are excessively complex, and many of them do not correspond to the knowledge and skills necessary for daily pedagogical work and working with students.

2. There are logical and language errors in the questions, which undermine the reliability of the exam results.

3. The test materials do not meet requirements for reliability and authenticity, meaning they do not assess the teacher’s real qualifications, but only test a narrow field of academic knowledge.

4. In some cases, experts deliberately used complex questions, which caused psychological pressure and a sense of unfairness among the teachers.

On this basis, the Ministry emphasized that education sector employees dissatisfied with attestation results have the opportunity to express their objections regarding the tests during the examination process for the relevant assignment. In addition, they have the right to submit a written appeal via their personal page on the pedagog.uzedu.uz platform or within ten days from the date the results are announced.

The Ministry stated that it is ready to provide a substantiated explanation for each test assignment and objection submitted. To this end, a permanent communication line has been established via the telephone number (71) 207-79-79.

The Ministry once again reminded that it is ready to review each appeal and provide an explanation. If a teacher is not satisfied with the explanation provided, the option to appeal to court is available.

In such cases, disputes will be considered according to the current legislation.
