
A court verdict was issued against two young men who attacked law enforcement officers in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region. This was reported by court sources.
According to reports, the incident occurred on the night of August 1st to 2nd. Two young men departed from Samarkand for Namangan as passengers. They stole the driver's car when he stopped at a gas station in the Syrdarya region.
After the incident, Major Nuribek Shodiev, an operative of the criminal investigation department of the Buka District Department of Internal Affairs, tried to stop them and take them to the Internal Affairs Department. However, one of the perpetrators stabbed the employee and stole the official car.
After that, they continued to move through the Akhangaran district, and the traffic police officer tried to stop them. However, the young men, disobeying the lawful demands of the inspector, drove the car over the officer and inflicted serious injuries.
The Bukinsky District Court found them guilty: according to the court's decision, one of them was sentenced to 9 years and 6 months of imprisonment, and the other - to 15 years and 6 months.
It should be recalled that in recent weeks, cases of attacks on traffic police officers have been observed in several regions. In particular, on November 2, it was reported that a driver dragged an inspector on a hood on Fergana Road Street, similar cases were also identified in the cities of Samarkand and Fergana.
Local law enforcement agencies remind drivers to strictly comply with the requirements of the law, and actions against police officers will lead to serious criminal liability.
