In connection with another major offense in the city of Andijan, operational services took decisive measures in a timely manner. During a joint operation conducted by the State Customs Committee and law enforcement agencies, the illegal circulation of jewelry of very high value was stopped.
According to the information, when the citizen received the parcel, his documents were checked and suspicious circumstances were identified. When the package was opened, 175 different types of gold jewelry with a total weight of 1 kilogram 138 grams were found. They were intended to be transported by cargo, but there were no customs clearance and quality documents.
The initial value of the seized items is estimated at approximately 2 billion soums. This indicates the extent of the illegal turnover.
Currently, an investigation and some procedural actions are being carried out in accordance with the law. Officials emphasized that attempts to circumvent customs regulations, especially violations related to the circulation of precious metals, are under strict control.
