The trial of former officials who worked in various positions in the Furkat District Department of Internal Affairs for years, but abused their authority due to accusations, has ended. A Kun.uz correspondent also participated in the court hearing, and the verdict was announced directly in the courtroom.
Former leaders found guilty
By court decision, the former head of the Furkat District Department of Internal Affairs, Akmal Khojayev, and his first deputy, Jasur Rasulov, were found guilty under a number of articles. The court has the right to issue to both persons:
- imprisonment for a term of 4 years,
- restriction of the right to work in the internal affairs bodies for 3 years,
sentences were imposed. These accusations were based on a number of cases of abuse of office, violation of legal order, and infringement of citizens' rights.
Imprisoned from the courtroom
During the investigation and trial, they were released. However, as soon as the verdict was announced, both former officials were transferred from the courtroom to a special car and taken to a temporary detention facility.

According to the information distributed through the Telegram channel of the Fergana Regional Courts, according to the Criminal Code:
- clause "b" of part 2 of Article 141,
- Article 142,
- part 1 of Article 206,
- part 1 of Article 230-2,
- part 1 of Article 234,
of the Criminal Code, were proven by them in court.
How will the punishment be served?
According to the court verdict, they will serve their 4-year sentence in settlement colonies. Also, the right to work in positions of material responsibility in organizations and enterprises with state participation was restricted for three years.
The victims' rights were explained
The victims G.K. and K.A. were explained their rights to apply to the civil court for moral and material damage in the future. This will allow them to compensate for the damage caused in the manner prescribed by law.
Open to appeal
The court decision is not the final stage. In accordance with the legislation, the parties have the right to file an appeal or cassation complaint with the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Fergana Regional Court.
A separate notification has been sent to the prosecutor's office
The court's separate ruling emphasized the need to continue complex targeted investigations. That is, it was determined that the issue of initiating criminal proceedings against other persons involved in this criminal case should be considered by the Fergana Regional Prosecutor's Office.
