The perpetrators of the intentional burning of several trucks in the Taylak district of the Samarkand region have been detained. The regional Department of Internal Affairs officially announced this.
On November 28, at 9:50 p.m., K.A., born in 1985, residing in the "Beklar" mahalla, had a disagreement with G.R., born in 1990, and N.R., born in 1991, who were previously acquainted and resided in the neighboring mahalla. As the conflict escalated, K.A., along with his sons born in 2005 and 2007, sprayed gasoline on the trucks driven by G.R. and N.R. and deliberately set them on fire.
Thanks to the rapid extinguishing of the fire, even greater damage was prevented. However, according to surveillance cameras and eyewitness accounts, two Kamaz trucks, initially stored one kilometer from the logistics center, were burned, and then another truck returned to the center and was set on fire. As a result, the entrepreneur suffered losses of about 600 million soums.
On November 29, a case was initiated under Article 173, Part 2 of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure in the form of detention was applied to the perpetrators. Preliminary investigative actions are currently underway.
According to the law, intentional burning of property or causing major damage is punishable by a fine, compulsory community service, correctional labor, or imprisonment for up to three years.
