Tourism driver around the lake and transport connection
At the meeting on the Jizzakh region, chaired by the President, the main attention was paid to the development of tourism infrastructure. The construction of a modern coastal tourism complex and a health center around the Aydar-Arnasay lake gave a significant impetus to the growth of income for the residents of the Arnasay district.
It was now noted as necessary to create opportunities for receiving large aircraft at the Arnasay airport. Furthermore, a railway line will be brought to the lake area to improve transport connection. «Uzbekiston Temir Yo'llari» company was instructed to start the construction of a new railway line extending 45 kilometers from Do'stlik district to the lake territory. It was also determined that, through 7 billion UZS, the infrastructure of the Baxtli mahalla in the district will be improved and completely transformed into a tourism village.
Renewal of the city center: the Sangzor River project
The «Istiqlol» Park in the center of Jizzakh city and the adjacent lands along the Sangzor River remained neglected for many years. As a result of the 24 billion UZS allocated at the beginning of this year, the appearance of these places was completely renewed, and they were turned into a recreation and entertainment area. Next year, an additional 20 billion UZS is foreseen to be allocated for cleaning the Sangzor River, filling it with water, and building a bridge and an amphitheater.
Enhancing roadside service and safety
It was emphasized that the 150-kilometer section of the M-39 and A-376 international roads passing through the Jizzakh territory is a great source of potential for developing roadside services. The importance of launching 2 trade and service complexes based on European standards, with separate access, along the highway was noted. Furthermore, improving conditions for ensuring the safety of vehicles on the 98-kilometer section of the M-39 highway was designated as a priority task.
