A sudden power outage in Tashkent on the morning of December 11 created inconveniences for several households and businesses. At around 6:00 AM, electricity supply was simultaneously disrupted in Yunusabad and Mirzo Ulugbek districts, leaving over 6,200 consumers temporarily without power.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the main cause of the outage was a technical fault in several cable lines connected to the "Botanika" substation, including "Astronomiya-1," "Astronomiya-2," "L-Bosmaxona," and "L-Karamurt." This accident in the network resulted in power supply interruptions in several neighborhoods within the districts.
Specialists quickly assembled in the early morning and prioritized resolving the malfunction in the "Astronomiya-2" cable network. By 9:06 AM, electricity was fully restored for more than 3,000 consumers. However, the work did not end there, as energy specialists continued to address problems in the remaining cable networks step by step.
The Ministry emphasized that intensive efforts are underway to reconnect all consumers to the power supply. After full restoration, additional details regarding the causes of the accident and technical evaluations may be provided.
