The systematic work carried out by customs authorities to ensure law and order has once again yielded results. During the next operational event, conducted by the specialized customs complex "Tashkent-AERO" of the Customs Committee and the operational structures of the Surkhandarya Regional Customs Administration, the illegal import of drugs was stopped.
It is reported that the event was organized through the customs post of foreign economic activity "Electronic commerce" in close cooperation with the State Security Service, internal affairs bodies and the National Guard. This once again demonstrated the importance of coordinated actions between agencies in the fight against offenses.
During an operational event in the city of Denau, Surkhandarya region, a 30-year-old citizen was detained with material evidence while accepting an international mail package sent in his name from South Korea. During the inspection, it turned out that the consignment documents were issued as sports food.
However, during a thorough examination, it was found that 1200 powerful pregabilin capsules were hidden inside the package. According to the law, these substances are under strict control, and their unauthorized import entails criminal liability.
Currently, a pre-investigation check is being conducted on this fact. Law enforcement agencies are taking the necessary measures to identify the sources of origin of the shipment, possible accomplices of the recipient, and other participants in this illegal scheme.
Officials emphasized that such operational measures play an important role in protecting public health, preventing the circulation of illegal medicines, and ensuring public safety. Control and preventive work in this direction will be consistently continued in the future.
