In Tashkent, a man who attacked a girl has been detained, the capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs press service reported. This was reported by upl.uz.reports.
Information spread on social media that an unknown person forcibly snatched a phone from a girl walking through an underpass. It was established that the incident occurred on December 21, 2025, in Tashkent’s Mirabad district, in the underpass on Amir Temur Street. A man ran up to the girl, born in 2004, grabbed a mobile phone worth 500 US dollars and fled the scene.
As a result of оперативно-search measures, it was found that the crime was committed by Madumarov Otabek Ohunjon o‘g‘li, born in 1999. He had previously been held liable under the “Theft” article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
A criminal case has now been opened against him under the “Robbery” article of the Criminal Code, and detention has been chosen as a preventive measure.
